One of the first summer days saw Sting playing the only gig in Moscow scheduled as a part of his World Tour. The show was sponsored by the Alfa-Bank.

Sting’s coming to Moscow was the long-expected treat for his fans that gathered under the Olimpiysky Sports Center’s dome on June 4, at 8 pm. Some of them saw their idol for the first time; others remembered his concerts in the Kremlin Palace in March 1996. But all of them were eager to see the legendary musician whose songs have been touching hearts and souls of thousands of people for over twenty years.

In this five years’ interval after Sting’s first visit to Moscow he released several new albums, received three more Grammys, acted in two successful movies and scored music for two dozens more. Without doubt, he was able to surprise and please his fans again.

We shall be happy to post your best shots and impressions of Sting’s Moscow show at this web site. Please do not forget to add your comments or captions. All posted photographs will be duly credited.

Sting first visited Russia in March 1996. As a part of his Mercury Falling World Tour the famous musician played two gigs at the Kremlin palace in Moscow. The shows were co-sponsored by the Alfa-Bank and SAV Entertainment.
