Sting [Stories]

Sting has various homes dotted around the world, England, Italy and USA. Contrary to existing rumors, he does not own a castle in England, but he does own a very large manor house originally built in the 16 century, where he spends most of his spare time with his family: his wife and six children of two marriages. Sting’s second spouse is the movie producer Trudie Styler. They married on August 20, 1992 at Camden Town Registry Office (private ceremony), followed by a church blessing at a local church near their home Lake House two days later.

Sting gave up his promising running career after only finishing third in the National Junior Championships, claiming that if he couldn’t be number one there wasn’t much point carrying on. During his Police days he was a keen jogger and wind surfer. These days he likes tying himself in knots — physically with yoga and mentally with chess. In his interviews Sting now claims to support Newcastle United F.C.

Sting is socially aware and active. He initiated a lot of charity events and actions and helped numerous charities over the years with his involvement, like Nordoff Robbins, Walden Woods, Live Aid/Band Aid/Sport Aid, Elton John’s Aids Charity, The Montserrat Foundation, The Tibet Foundation, The Rainforest Foundation, Amnesty International and others.
